Year 13 Art Final Show

Phoebe Ackers Olivia Newton Megan HogarthThis is my fourth Art show since I became Head of Art and I am so proud of what our students have accomplished. This year has been the most collaborative by far. Each student has gained advice and feedback from the entire Art staff and due to both BTEC and A-level sharing studio space for the first time, they have received support from each other too. The work is brave, provocative, emotive and captivating. This has only been achieved through immense hard work and effort from all involved.

This year we held awards for our students to celebrate their achievements. The awards were as follows:

  • Most Improved – Olivia Newton (runners up – Adam Hart and Megan Hogarth)
  • Most Promising – Megan Hogarth (runners up – Jessica Wincoate and Shannon Tindall)
  • Student Choice: Most Inspiring – Phoebe Ackers (runners up – Megan Hogarth and Jessica Wincoate)

Special thanks to the teaching staff, Vicki Rahn and Eloise Penrose-Stupart, for inspiring and motivating the students, our technicians, Fiona Middlemas, Suzy Daly, Julie Render and Mark Parkin, for helping the students to realise their intentions, the site team, James Gilpin and Pete Shepherdson, for letting us make a mess and helping to transport the work to the gallery and the reprographics team, Karen Purvis and Pam Willis, for supporting the high demand of work, not just for the show, but throughout the year.
