On 23 May 2016, nineteen students from St Hilda’s School in Buenos Aires, Argentina spent the day at Caedmon College Whitby.
The first part of the day was spent attending normal lessons with their English partners.
After break, our visitors met our Year 8 students who are going to be studying Spanish GCSE next year. The theme was ‘Getting to know you’, and using a ‘speed dating’ format, students interacted in Spanish and English in an informal and enjoyable way.
The afternoon saw a group of thirty musicians from the Scoresby site preparing and recording two songs together with our Argentinian friends.
Caedmon College Whitby has a growing number of international music and linguistic links, which continue to offer our students a plethora of global learning and friendship opportunities.
