Key Dates for the Sixth Form

Please find below a number of key dates for the Sixth Form during July and beyond, for your information.

Monday 4 July
Year 13 lessons will begin on Monday 4 July following the current Y12 student timetable. Attendance at lessons during this three-week period is imperative as the students will begin the second year of their Level 3 studies during this time and be provided with work to complete during the summer holidays.

Monday 11 July
All Year 13 students need to meet in the Learning Centre at 9.45am on this day to collect their new timetable. Students will also complete an important progression questionnaire at this time.

Enrichment Day – Tuesday 19 July
The final College Enrichment Day for this year will focus on progression for students after completing their courses at the College. It is an important day for the students as they should be
formulating their plans for the future; we have a number of outside providers booked to deliver a series of workshops in relation to university, apprenticeships and careers generally. Students will be given further information regarding the organisation of the day in the week beginning 4 July. ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THIS DAY.

College closes at 3.30pm on Friday 22 July

AS/A2 Results Day – Thursday 18 August
Students will be able to collect their examination results between 11.00am and 12.00pm and staff will be available during this time for students to see if they need to discuss their options for September.

The College reopens for the Autumn Term at 8.55am on Monday 5 September for Year 13.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all an enjoyable summer break.

Assistant Head of Sixth Form
