The expedition will start at Beggars Bridge on Friday 31 March at 9.30am. Students who are struggling for lifts should get the school train on its way back to Glaisdale, which leaves the station in Whitby at 8.45am.
The students have been planning their 3-day walking routes and we have copies of these in order for us to remotely supervise the students throughout the expedition. There will be several members of staff camping with the students on both nights.
We aim to finish in Glaisdale mid-afternoon on Sunday 2 April. The time will depend on how fast people walk and we will ask students to phone you when they arrive at Beggars Bridge. Mobile phones are permitted, but must only be used as an emergency piece of equipment throughout the expedition.
We request that the borrowed kit is cleaned and returned after the Easter holidays (only at the Wednesday night meeting) and then deposits can be returned.
Finally, could we also ask for any outstanding fees to be paid before the expedition as awards with an outstanding balance cannot be approved.
Many thanks for your continued support.
