Sport Relief Week 2018 – 10,000 Steps Activity

At Caedmon College Whitby this year, we are organising a number of activities for Sport Relief. There will be a list of activities taking place throughout the week that will be publicised on our website and via social media.

On Tuesday 20 March, we ask that students come in to College wearing a coloured sports top and make a donation of £1 to Sports Relief. Please note that students will not be permitted to wear “cropped tops” on the non-uniform day.

To continue the active theme, we are hoping that students can be sponsored for completing, or trying to complete, 10,000 steps a day during Sport Relief Week at the College, from 19-23 March.

Students can monitor their steps if they download the free Sport Relief app to their phones as it has a built in pedometer. However, students who are not yet 16 will need parental permission to download this. Research states that 10,000 steps is quite achievable for young people and should not prove too onerous!

If you and your son/daughter would like to partake in this, please ask him/her to collect a sponsor form from their Base Coach.
