Drive Alive 2018

Sixth Form student attempting to walk in a straight line wearing ‘beer goggles’

All Year 12 students were involved in this fantastic morning on 20 March. Providers visited College in order to teach our students how to drive safely and also be a safe passenger. The students experienced a variety of workshops: Prevent, delivered by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, Passenger Power from NYCC and Drink, Drugs, Driving from NYCC. The final session was a powerfully emotional speech from Janet and David Waring who tragically lost their son in a car accident three weeks after passing his driving test. We hope the enrichment sessions will help to keep our students safe.
