Camping final instructions: 7T1, 7T2 & 7T3 on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 September; 7T4 & 7T5 on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 September
On the first day of the camping trip, students are to attend the College at the normal time, in non-College uniform (please see suitable clothing recommendations below), and need a packed lunch with them. They will need to leave their bags in the main hall and go to their normal timetabled lessons until break time.
We will depart for the train station at 11.15am. We will return to the College on Wednesday, arriving back at College at approximately 4.00pm, travelling on the train that arrives in Whitby at 3.37pm.
Suitable clothing for the trip will be old clothing that you do not mind getting wet and muddy. Jeans are not suitable as, when they get wet, they become very uncomfortable. Leggings or tracksuit bottoms are best.
All that is needed is:
- one change of clothes
- a toothbrush and toothpaste
- a towel
- a sleeping bag
- a sleeping mat if you have one (the rolling foam ones, but don’t worry if not)
- a knife, fork, spoon, bowl and cup
- a torch.
If you have a camera that your son/daughter would like to bring, that is fine, as we usually run a photograph competition. Mobile phones however are not permitted.
As the weather may be unseasonably poor, we may need to cancel and move to an alternative date. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. It’s going to be an adventure!
