With over 62,000 miles of pipework connecting Yorkshire’s water systems together, there’s certainly a lot of water going around! We provide 1.24 billion litres of drinking water every single day across one of England’s biggest counties.
To help us achieve our vision of “taking responsibility for the water environment for good” we are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation and Control Automation Engineering Apprentice. As a Yorkshire Water apprentice, you will also be expected to gain technical skills and expertise, as well as developing your personal and business competencies.
You must have or be expecting at least 96 UCAS points or equivalent.
Apprenticeship candidates will typically have at least three A levels at grades A*- C including mathematics and physical science or their equivalent and completed a Level 4 HNC Engineering. GCSE grade C in Maths and English is required to satisfy the requirements of our training provider.

Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire we make sure that all 5.2 million people living in the region have clean safe drinking water on tap and their waste water taken away. But for us it’s so much more than this.
